An annual favorite around these parts, Coudoulet de Beaucastel is frequently referred to as the Perrin family’s baby Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

When the Châteauneuf appellation was drawn up in the 1930’s the Coudoulet vineyard was cut out and is now separated from Perrin’s other Châteauneuf vineyards by the A7 motorway.

The soil types are very similar to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, containing the large stones famously known from Châteauneuf as galet roulés.

The wine is made up of Grenache 40%, Mourvèdre 30%, Syrah 20%, Cinsault 10%, and it is fermented in cement tanks then aged in large old oak barrels.

Get it now before the vintage sells out as it does every year.
